CARLISLE United have announced the signing of forward Joseph Bevan on loan from Burnley until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old becomes the Blues' 11th addition of the January transfer window and joins on the eve of the club's visit from Ian Holloway's Swindon Town.

Bevan joined Burnley from Albion Rovers in January 2023 and has featured for the Championship side's under-21s team, including against Carlisle United in the Central League Cup in November.

Speaking on the club's website head coach Mike Williamson said: "We’re really glad to get Joe in. He’s got pace and power and he’s a really exciting player.

"He's versatile, and he’s hungry to do well, so he will be a welcome addition for us.

"He is ready to be involved and we are looking forward to seeing him play for us."

Carlisle United's sporting director, Rob Clarkson added: “We are delighted Joe has joined us until the end of the season.

"He has explosive pace and can play wide or as a centre forward, so he will provide an extra attacking option for us.

"We thank Burnley for allowing us to bring Joe to Carlisle United."
